Oh my god, he was trying to eat privately!! He doesn't eat eggs in front of these people for this exact reason!! He knows he's fucked the second Matilda looks at him, and then Garrot has to make it a whole thing. He sets his attention on the new egg he's being offered, picking it up and turning it over in his hand.

"If you say so," he mutters to Haizea, watching her eat a tragically cooked egg.
